This chapter presents a number of initiatives and case studies that illustrate that a sustainable vegan agricultural system is possible in Ireland and internationally. It explores the lessons that can be learned from the Netherlands Agricultural Model and presents the latest research showing Organic Agriculture can feed the world. It shows how a VAS will reduce our food imports and enhance our overall food security. Finally it presents a number of case studies on the development of highly successful Irish and EU plant based farms and businesses that are converting our food system to a VAS.
