This chapter presents the reasons why we need to urgently transition to a Vegan Agricultural System and outlines the different areas considered in this report. It also outlines the principles that need to be taken into consideration for a socially just transition. It concludes with three recent scientific reports that are advocating for a move towards a plant based agricultural system.
